Tuesday, February 9th have been rescheduled to the regular practice schedule
times and locations.

Eastern District Cluster
Championships Meet Updates
Updated 2/8/10
Cluster Meet
Volunteers needed! BBD must supply two timers and one official per
session of the clusters meet. We have only one volunteer so far - thank you
Cynthia Linton (mom of Chase and Trip Jones) who has volunteered to
officiate Sunday afternoon. BBD is the largest team in the state with great
parental support so it is important for us to supply this meet with
volunteers. Please email Susan Withrow at

entries report for the Cluster Meet is available by clicking on TSO and the
Entries tab.
YMCA
8 & Under State Championships Meet Updates
Updated 2/8/10
The entry deadline for
the YMCA 8U State Meet is Wednesday, February 3 at 10:00 p.m. Remember you
can enter only 3 events. If you enter more than 3 events, your swimmer will
be entered in the first three events entered and dropped from the other
events. You can edit your entry on Direct Athletics until the entry
deadline.

YMCA 9 & Up State Meet Updates

The 9 and over Y State
Meet Packet has been posted to the
Schedule and Entries
page. Entry deadline is Monday, February 15 at 10:00 p.m. Submit your entry
before you leave for Winter Break - we can take no late entries. You must
have met the qualifying time and it must be in the BBD system. You may only
enter 3 individual events. If you enter more the first three events will be
accepted and the rest will be scratched. Qualifying times are listed on the
Qualifying Times
page.
USS Junior Olympic Meet Updates

The JO Meet information
is posted on the Schedule and Entries
page. Please read the meet information carefully before entering this meet.
The first deadline is Sunday, February 21 at 10:00 p.m. Immediately
following the YMCA State meet you may modify entry times or events entered
by emailing Susan Withrow at
svarnerwithrow@comcast.net by Sunday, February 28 by 9:00 p.m. No Phone
Calls. This is a strict deadline. Note also that there is an apparel form
for this meet. Apparel is available by pre-order and the orders with check
must be mailed by Friday, February 12 and received by Susan Withrow on
Saturday, February 13.
USS 12 & Under State Championships

The meet packet for the
Michigan 12 and under State Championship is posted on the
Schedule and Entries
page. READ THE MEET PACKET CAREFULLY BEFORE DOING THE MEET ENTRY AS THERE
ARE MANY DETAILS!!!! The first entry deadline is Monday, February 22 at
10:00. New cuts achieved at the Y state meet must be emailed to Susan
Withrow at
svarnerwithrow@comcast.net by Sunday, February 28 at 9:00 p.m. New cuts
achieved at the Junior Olympics meet must be emailed to Susan Withrow at
svarnerwithrow@comcast.net
by Sunday, March 7 by 9:00 p.m.
Attention parents of
swimmers who will be attending the 12 & Under USS State Meet. If you would
like to order apparel for this championship meet you must follow the
directions on pg 16 of the meet packet.
Note on the 12U USS State Meet Information packet. The host team has removed
the option to purchase reserved seating. Instead, Stadium Chairs are
available for purchase but reserved seating is no longer an option for this
meet.

YMCA Great Lakes Zone Championships

contains a flyer for the Zone meet dinner in Bowling Green. A completed
reservations form with payment must be sent to Cathy Edwards by March 12,
2010.

Important Information Regarding Speed
Suits

As our championship season approaches, the
question of "speed suits" often comes up. The following link clarifies the
approved FINA suit guidelines. As always, please check with your coach
before wearing a speed suit to any meet.
